The Wal-Mart Credit Card is offered by GE Money Bank for Wal-Mart customers. Credit card benefits may include online account management and cash promotions for approved applications. Online account access includes credit card statements, payments, request for credit limit increases, and email and phone alerts.
Established in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas, Wal-Mart is a discount retailer that currently serves fifteen countries worldwide.Known for its motto “save money. live better”, Wal-Mart is recognized by its bright blue warehouse-like buildings and it's white logo. Products span an array of household items, automotive, food, and more. With its popularity, Wal-Mart has also been scrutinized for its business practices. Consumers are concerned about Wal-Mart’s lack of benefits for its employees, hiring practices, and the circumstances of small businesses driven out by Wal-Mart competition.
I was approved with a $300 limit with a CK score of 656. I got it because I'm working on rebuilding credit and wanted as many lines as possible before my hiatus from accepting new credit offers. I will report back in 6 months with progress.

While I am no big fan of the parent company of the WM Credit Card (GE), in all fairness I have to say that I am, and always have been, very happy with this card. I had a bankruptcy in 2003 (Long story, and no I'm not a bum) and was able to get this card 2 years later. It has seen me trhough some lean times when my wife lost her job in the economic downturn. If you use it smartly they will take care of you. Again, I am happy with this. For those of you still struggling with credit, good luck, things got bettter for me, I hope for you as well.

Applied online for this card. CreditKarma is showing that my credit score is 606. Applied and got the wait 7 to 10 business days for response. Do not know if that is normal when applying online..

Got this card in 2010. Initial limit was $800. I've never missed a payment, but have occassionally maxed it out to buy electronics such as a flat screen TV/laptop for school. I've saved A LOT of interest as a result. The first year or two, my limit only increased by $75 every four months. Recently, however, I've received increases of $500 and $800, which have brought my limit up to $2,400. Got a zero balance and I HOPE they will preapprove me for the Discover version soon!! Seems like they only offer the all-purpose version of the card when you use it the least! Oh, ALSO... cash advance option is AWESOME if you need some quick cash at a lower-than-most credit cards APR. :-)

Instantly approved for $800 with a CK score of 720 (which I believe is a bit inflated). I'm happy! Will update after I get the card and have a look at all the benefits.

I'm currently paying one of these off. It was my first credit card and I was pretty stupid with it. The interest rate borders on usury. I'd recommend looking for a different card.

A card that offers cash advances without fees. While I've not had to use the feature, I love the idea that I don't have to pay a huge fee to get a small cash advance if I did need it. Credit limit increase was generous. The only downfall to using this card more regularly is the interest rate. The high interest rate makes it unadvisable to ever carry a balance. It also takes about 10 days for them to withdraw the electronic payments from your checking account, but you can always pay in store if waiting 10 days is too long!

was approved last year with a limit of 1000 at a 742. I'm back to school and my overall score has dropped :( but I have never been late with a payment and now my limit is 2500. I haven't had any issues with this card and have even used it in different countries where walmart is available.
