You have 12 credit cards!  USAA made the right decision in denying you credit.  You appear to be a credit nightmare waiting to happen.

Prime  + 0% variable (currently 6.0%) for almost four years now. 30K credit limit which was used for consolidation of higher interest cards (paid off) then paying for installing hvac in my house at a lower rate than a home equity line of credit or a home improvement loan. I was also contacted by them about three years ago at work saying there was suspicious activity on my account. They wanted to confirm purchases totaling ~$5000 on my account. I made no such purchases. Sure enough my account had been compromised. They immediately issued a new card and held me accountable for none of the fraudulant charges. What's not to love? USAA has a sterling rep for customer service and it is well deserved.

I love this card. I had another of their cards with a max $1k credit limit (unsecured) when I was in the process of repairing my credit. A year later they approved me for another card with a $4k limit and pre-approved me for a respectable mortgage rate. They gave me a chance when I was down and now I'm giving them my business when I'm up.  I'm not sure why someone in a previous post had such problems. I got all tihs done with scores in the upper 600's. Now I'm getting better offers over 700. They're always pleasant for me to deal with and have never had a single rep give me the impression they didn't want to talk to me. They stay on the phone with me as long as it takes to answer my questions. I deducted 1 start because I think their rates are a tad high based on a couple other cards I have with different issuers and I don't believe anyone is perfect.

 received pre-approved offer in mail. filled it out ,but denied my app.credit score is 698. what happened?tried to suck me into secured card,no way. they have lost my business. really angry about pre-approval notice, i would not have applied otherwise. now my credit score takes a hit from a hard inquiry.

Great card.  Credit Karma does a very poor job about updating balances.  Disappointed with Credit Karma's reports.

 Been a member since 1969- very happy with company. Quick resolution of claims, great customer service, love the yearly distribution from profits (not guaranteed- but received every year). Can not recommend them enough- if your eligible you should join.

Just got the World Mastercard.  Instant approval, $20K line, and 9.9%.  I also have auto and home insurance with USAA.   I have nothing but praise for USAA.  Fast and very pleasant to deal with.  There are other cards out there with more rewards but I prefer the better service provided by USAA.  I mainly use an Amex Gold Premium Rewards card so I really don't care that the Mastercard benefits aren't that impressive.  :)   It will just be the card I use when a vendor doesn't take Amex.

I applied for a $6000,00 auto loan  was approved and at the same time they gave me line of credit of $3,000 on a Platinum World Mastercard cash reward.My only complaint is that the cash reward are giving on Janurary of each year and it is a form of a credit on your monthly statement.

Been using USAA for more than 30 years, and had the same credit card with them for that long.  Right now I pay 8.9% interest and pay off my monthly balance.  They have provided my family and I with the best customer service, insurance, higher ROI on investments, than other places have been able to.  I feel VERY COMFORTABLE and SAFE with USAA.  They are a great company to work with, and are always able to help me out with any questions I might have. USAA.... you guys ROCK! :)

  You might want to learn a little bit about credit to income. If I max every card I have that would put me at 130K debt times that by 2% that will give you the monthly min. Payment amount of 2600.00 I make $10,000 a month that is only 26% debt to income which still keeps me in an A+ Category  for my DTI but not very good because all my credit is maxed. That would never happened any ways. Now if I had about 1mil credit then maybe it would be in a credit nightmare. USAA is horrible they could have at least extended $500 to see how I use credit cards.
