This card is issued by Citibank. I have applied for various cards also issued by them such as Sears and got denied.  They gave me a starting limit of $500.  No annual fee. It's been almost a year and no credit limit increase as of yet. I tried to submit for one but they want you to enter all your banking information which I won't do. The interest rate is 25.99% . I usually keep my balance under $100 at a time. Not too bad for what I would use it for which would be occasional purchases.

Their practices are horrible!  I had a good limit with them and they promise to protect you from fraud.  When I had some fraud on my credit report they lowered my limit and didn't ask any questions.  I faxed them proof of the fraud where I had been talking to the credit bureaus and am having it removed but they still state I must wait a few months until they re-investigate my credit worthiness.  Are you serious?  Like, it's my fault someone used my ss #.  Plus, citi was supposed to monitor and protect this it's all over the Home Depot credit webpage.  I've always paid them more than the min. balance and this is what I get.  This card is going in the trash!

I recently opened a card with Home Depot, and payed off the balance. I am still waiting for them to report this to the creidt bureaus. The only solution to this problem, would be to charge something for 2 dollars on the card, and then pay it down the next month. I believe they do utilize deceptive practices, because after paying them through my bank; they hit me with a late fee, as they did not process it until the following day.

Opened this card in January to take advantage of 0% financing offer. Never received our cards or bill, then began getting calls saying that our payment was late and a late fee had been charged. Tried to make a phone payment, which for some reason never went through. Got another call saying we were still overdue, and again paid by phone and explained that we still had not received our cards (by the way, you cannot set up online payments without the card since you need to enter the 3-digit security code to log in.) Finally received our cards two days ago, and immediately went online to set up payments. Was greeted with a notice that we could not make online payments due to a returned payment and that we would need to call them for the fourth time. Was then told that we had lost our internet and phone paying priviledges due to a returned payment, despite fact that I was staring at a $100 canceled check from our last payment on 2/7. Explained our story numerous times, then was asked if we were employed and would be delinquent in the future. Um, not if you actually send us our bills or give us any way to make the payment!!! It is as though they are setting us up to default on our account, which we have bent over backwards and spent hours on the phone trying to pay. By this point I am feeling this is a scam to force people to be "late" on their required promotional payments and be charged the 26.99% interest rate.

I was talked in to the card by an offer of a discount off a purchase.   I was not really planning ever really use since the rates are rediculous even with a very hight credit score.  However they they rang somehting up was rang up wrong and they needed to put something on it for some reason.  I was never sent a bill or any notifcation and they waited 60 days to pick up the phone and call about a $30 charge. They reported it as late to Credit Bureau and provided terrbile cusomter service.   They could care less and home depot felt the same.    If you get the card, don't use it and just take the credit.

Being a long time customer does not mean anything to Home Depot.  Recently paid off my balance on the Home Depot Consumer Credit Card from my last statement.  I cancelled the autopay that I had set up through my bank that made sure a payment was always made in the past.  Turns out that I had a balance of $9.00.  This was December.  In January, I got a phone call from a citicorps, which I didn't recognize the name.  I knew that I didn't have any bills owing.  After repeated calling I stayed on to listen to all the message and heard it was Home Depot.  I went to the account on line and paid the now $13.04.  This was the 1st of January.  The middle of January I get my credit report and Home Depot had turned in my account for $13.04 that will stay on my report for 7 years.  I called the credit card dept. and told them what happened and asked if there was anything they could to do to help.  They reinterated that I was late and that is the way it is.  I should have been more intuative about my credit.  So being a long time customer that was trying to pay off the account with all good intentions means nothing to Home Depot.  Home Depot chooses the company that handles their credit dept.  Customer Relations is a very low priority.

Great Card. Paid off several large balances and never had any problems with customer service.

The cashier at the store told me to apply and if approved I was going to get $25 of discount right away. I did and at the end the cashier told me that I was not approved so no discount at all.  Few days after my applications and no discount, guess what:   I got the stupid card by mail.  Already destroyed it and in the trash. Thats cheating. So beware when you apply.

I think Home Depot Credit Card Services is terrible! If you pay your bill, just one day late, they will charge you a late fee! They are rude when you call them and are not helpful at all. I will not charge anything anymore on my Home Depot Credit Card and will close the account once the bill is paid in full.
