The 5% discount is great, and the customer service is good. I don't carry a balance and have never had an issue with the credit limit on this card.

I posted the full balance payment on April 21,2012 on Manage My Red Account of Target. The payment was cleared by Bank of America on April 22. On April 27th I logged into my Account to find out that my available credit for use is still $0. My Current Balance was also showing $0. I called the Target Customer Service & call was routed to the Phillipines.Customer service rep told me that they have to do the Confrence Call with Bank of America in order to release the avalable open credit line to use. They want to know whether the payment is cleared!

Received card 2007, started with $300 CL & a few months later increased to $500 CL. It is now 2012 & I'm still at $500.....ridiculous. I'm set up on auto pay, have never been late, and pay $ much more than the minimum consistently-like $75 every month. I have other cards including AMEX with thousands in purchasing power. Only reason I won't request to close the account is for the 5% discount. Two stars only for the purpose discount.

Two stars only for the 5% discount. They randomly decline my card when I'm out of town, but at a Target store. Also, credit limit is only $900..... both of our credit scores are OVER 800. What gives?

They don't recognize your account on line when you try to pay it, you are stuck mailing a check or phoning in a payment. I will not be shopping at Target anymore !!!!!!!

Everyone is complaining about their line of credit being lowered with no explanation. The reason why your credit line gets decreased, even though you pay the account faithfully, is because they do view your credit report peridocially to see how well you are paying on your other accounts. This is a common theme among most creditors. If your credit score is low, then they will lowerer your credit limit since you are considered a risk.

Target doesn't offer a method of reviewing credit lines for increases. This card has been stuck at a $800 credit line when I have other lines at $10,000, $23,000, and $13,000. I had racked $780 in charges up in a month, paid it in full, and they've had the money held for two weeks after the payment went through with my bank. They told me that we'd have to conference call the bank to verify that it's cleared on their side before they'd release that money. It's been two weeks, how much longer do they want to hold it? My AMEX marks it as available the same day. Income levels don't appear to matter to them, and it's horrible service. I'll give them two stars for the 5% discount and because I've had the credit card for a very long time. That's the only reason I don't close the account immediately. I wouldn't recommend this credit card to someone that doesn't already have it.

Had my card since 2001 when it was just a redcard. Was upgraded to a Target Visa with a decent cl. Just had a very signaficant raise in my cl $3000 to $4,500. Haven't had any problems. Like the in store 5% discount a lot.
