Credit cards are issued by Chase Bank, the banking subsidiary of JP Morgan Chase & Co and one of the biggest banks in the United States. Chase Bank provides personal banking, small business, mortgage, auto finance, investing, and a full-service array of banking services.
Chase Bank, formerly known as Chase Manhattan Bank, grew rapidly in the past decade, merging with J.P. Morgan & Co. in 2000 and renamed to Chase Bank. Today, Chase is one of the biggest banks in the United States. Established over 200 years ago, JP Morgan Chase & Co. is a global financial services company with more than $2.1 trillion in assets with operations in 60 countries.
This is my go-to card. Even with the fee it's a definite keeper. If you travel out of the country at least once or twice a year and earn enough rewards that more than offset the annual fee, there aren't too many rewards cards I can think of at the top of my head that surpass this one. All my chargeable expenses are put on this card. Like any other card, always pay the balance off in full as soon and as often as you can. The moment you start falling into the interest-trap is when you negate any benefits the rewards program may offer. Barring any drastic changes to the program, I can see myself using this card indefinitely.

I was approved for Sapphire Preferred yesterday. My TU and EX are 706 and 678. I was surprised to be approved. I thought Sapphire required higher standards. Is the $5k minimum credit line just hearsay or verified? Any other similar cards with good starting lines of credit that have been known to approve as easily as Chase Sapphire? Thank you very much.

CK 776, CS 785. Applied onlne for the bonus 40K points offer. Not approved instantly, and figured I'd have to call them, but 2 days later unprompted was approved for 10K limit. Already held Chase Freedom Signature ($5K limit) and Chase Amazon Rewards ($3K limit) so that may have entered into the equation for approval as well as credit limit.
Earlier this year got the Citi Thank You Preferred card with 60K bonus points, no annual fee and 2X points on all purchases for the first year. Seemed like the best offer at the time, but the Chase Ultimate Rewards site offers 20% discount on points redeemed for travel services. That'll save significant points, e.g. same flight on Citi Thank You site = 52K points, Chase Ultimate Rewards = 38K points.

So far so good. I like this card. I was approved with CK score of 758. I think my FICO score was around 765 when I applied. I really like the feel of the card. Definitely unique.

CK 665, FICO 712, already had Chase bank account for 3 1/2 years and student loans account. Instantly approved for $5700 CL. Took a chance applying as it said my chances were poor, but I would rather have the card I wanted or nothing at all than to get a card I would regret owning later on. Thankfully it was worth it! Still to get my card, but have talked to CS on the Sapphire service line twice and it's been the best CS experience I've had yet dealing with any CC CS line, instant connection and the nicest CS reps!

FYI: Chase uses Experian when they pull credit reports, if that's helpful to anyone out there!

Chase's official stance is that the bureau they pull is random. But I believe it depends on which state you're in.
