my wife has this card. was shocked. they asked how much she wanted she said 1500 they gave 1500. Score probably in the mid to lower 600 hundreds. it was when things were real tight. Hsbc. go figure. On another note. I have the best buy master card for 6 years now. Same 400 dollar limit from when I opened it. Denied credit limit increases all the time. I have fico scores in the mid to low 700s. F*** hsbc. Now my credit is good enough to get interest free from place that have better deals then best buy. I will be having my wife close her two hsbc accounts this month. BB and hsbc can take a dive if you know what I mean.

I've had this card for 2 years now. The website is easy enough to use, and the rewards are nice, but my credit limit has been the same since I've gotten it...only $100. My credit score is in the low/mid-700s, and I've been denied 2 or 3 times. I just use it for gas now, because it doesn't make sense to cancel an account (thus hurting my credit score), but it's definitely not really worth it.

They approved with the limit $300, after when I bought a phone, they closed my account. No reason no explanation. When I called, automated machine is talking `our system is down at this moment, plz try again later.` It is been a week saying same thing. Not recommend anyone.

This card is good if you have less than perfect cerdit. Its the only sub-prime reward card that I know of. Pros: Credit limit increases, rewards, web site is easy to use. Cons: Low credit lines, APR (if you carry a balance) is high. Overall If you use this card responsibly it can grow with you. Not the best card but its not the worst.

After 10 days when i check my credit card statement, still showing as $1000 as balance. Immediately called customer service to ask about this. They told me that that is their polacy miminum will take 8 business days to reflect But my back diducted after one day from my checking account. I was told I had 2 years interest free. After 18 months they charged me $300 interest, I only had $100 to pay off! Everytime I had an issue customer service was VERY rude! I will NOT use them ever again and I would highly recommend no one else does either!

I opened this card in July 2011. With my bad credit history, these were the only people willing to consider me. I researched a bit before applying (because of the hard inquiry I would get) and was able to qualify at a 595 Ex Plus score. So far it's alright. I charge everything and pay it off asap. I've earned $15 in rewards which isn't much, but it's fine with me as I'm rebuilding my credit (3 collections on file). Customer service is so-so. Most I've waited is about 15 mins on business nights. In the last 5 months My score went up over 40 points and was able to open another credit card! Yay!
