I got approved for this card about six months ago, with a $1,000 initial limit, I was charging between 2-3,000 per month on the card, so I called BOA. They bumped my line by another 1,000, not bad for six months. I've already got over $100.00 in rewards cash, and every time I call the centers, although they dont ask too much, they are pleasent. I'm quite happy with them, and I think I'll stay for a while.

Bank of america is the worst for increasing your credit limit

I opened a AAA Visa credit card 3 years ago (managed by BOA). I keep a zero balance and use the card rarely, but always pay off the balance within 30 days. They did jack up my APR without notice. Luckily, I only keep the card to improve my credit rating, but recently found out that BOA has not disclosed my credit limit to the 3 bureaus. When I called the bureaus they say it's the Bank's responsibility to report the limit to them. I called BOA and they say it's the bureau's responsibility to obtain it from them. So much finger pointing. I was really hoping someone would assist me so I could increase my credit utilization score.

Best cash reward deal I have ever had from a credit card. 2.5% cash on all purchases. No catagories or restricted vendors to remember. Everything is done online. I also like how they post your current card balance with every single purchase you make so you never have to wonder if the total is correct. Had an unauthorized charge for $200 and BOA was on top of it. Without having to do a single thing myself they notified me of the suspicous activity, removed the charge and sent a new card within a couple days.

I applied for the Cash Rewards card but was denied because of limited credit history (I'm a 22 year old college student) and a few five year old collections accounts. I was denied, but immediately offered the secured version. The secured version still offers all the same reward tiers. I accepted and put a $2,000 credit limit. I've had the card for about four months now and spend about $400 on it each month. I've accumulated about $23 in cash rewards. Last month I increased my limit/collateral to $3,000. For those who need to do the secured version, if you make all your payments on time, you should be graduated to the unsecured version and have your collateral returned in 9 months- 1 year. All in all, I think this is a good card.

My particular card is the Cash Rewards program. Their "cash back" is redeemable in $25.00 increments and after $300 in reward points they give a bonus, I believe it’s 20%. The cash back can be used to pay off the principle on the card or transferred to a checking or savings account; it however cannot be used to make a payment on the card (unless you transfer it to checking first then make the payment). Cash back starts at 3% for all purchases but drops to 1% after a few months with exception for pharmacies and gas stations, which remain at 3%. They also will provide an interest free period for the card (in my case over a year). Customer service was outstanding and very pleasant to deal with and they even called after I received the card to go over the terms and benefits of the card, making sure I knew what I was getting into. Additional discounts for concert/venue tickets and other promotions they run are helpful too. Cash advance, and balance transfer APRs are clearly stated in the material that comes with the card. I have no complaints with this card. APR is determined on credit worthiness (where mine is average, it’s still a low APR compared with other cards with similar intro periods and benefits). I found this card to be a life saver on quite a few occasions. It’s even easier to use if you have an existing checking or savings account with BOA as you can have all your accounts under one online bill pay system. I’ve also found that this speeds up the process of payments and money transfers to and from the card. Penality for late payment is higher at $25.00 but I have had same day withdrawl from my account.
