DO NOT GET THIS. It is impossible to schedule automatic payments. They only allow to schedule one future payment every 24 hours. They are banking on making a miserable profit by expecting people to forget to pay. If you have other options, use them.

got approved for $600 with score of 673. Remember, this isn't a normal credit card, but a amazon.com STORE card. Pretty awesome though, because amazon pretty much sells everything!

Don't gett this card. It is a bait and switch. They lead you to believe that you set up automatic payments from your checking account and then they charge you a heafty late fee when the payments are not made. Real ripoff.

No problems with this card. Got approved for $800 with a 610 credit score. Paid off on time, avoided interest, kept a small balance, and saw my credit score jump up a few points. High interest, so just make sure you're ontop of that.

Well, this Card is just junk a fraud! Stay away! They offer 12 month interest free financing on purchaces over 599 but then they don't give you enough credit to be able to use this option!?! A was approved a ridicilous $400 credit line with 100K income and credit score over 780 (recently checked)! When called customer service both agent/superviser - "there is nothing we can do sir"! I have never beeen late on any king of payment which I guess makes me bad prospect! Now I am stuck with useless card I will probably never use!

Just like any retail card, this one has REALLY high interest and strict terms. I love it! I can buy anything I want (I think Amazon has at least one of everything) and get all the interest free financing I want. They don't have an introductory period or anything silly like that. If your total order is over $150, you get six months interest-free. If your order is over $600, you get 12 months interest free. If your order is from Amazon, not just a merchant that sells on Amazon, and it's really expensive, you can get 24 months interest-free. If you don't pay it off by the time your interest-free time is up, you'll have to pay all the accrued interest from the beginning. I've used Amazon since it first went online, and having this card as a flexible payment option works wonders for me. I go to a school where scholarships, grants and loans disperse about two weeks after school starts, but textbooks are required within the first week of classes. This card makes it much easier to afford the hundreds of dollars in books before all of my financial aid comes through. I was approved immediately with a $1400 limit (I think my score was 650 at the time). This card will definitely help out anyone who regularly shops on Amazon, who pays their bills on-time and who can pay off their balance every month and/or pay off large purchases within a given time frame.

I'm Brand new to credit, and have only had a starter capital one card for 1.1 years to establish credit, my current credit score is 719 and I've been approved for $1,900 credit line! awesome for someone who is trying to establish more credit! since i have paid the first 5 bills, my credit increased to 798! and that is mostly based on my amazon account since i spend less than $20 on my Capital one card every month! SO IF YOU WANT A BETTER CREDIT SCORE, DON'T SPEND MORE THAN YOU CAN PAY OFF ON YOUR AMAZON ACCOUNT, PAY EARLY, YOUR CREDIT SCORE WILL GO UP DRASTICLY!!

This is the worst credit card I have ever owned. I do not recommend anyone using this credit card. Here is the story of my bad experience. Amazon provided a good deal with 12 months interest free option with Amazon.com store card. They sent me the statement 2 months after the purchase with a late fee $35.00. I called them and told them that I never recieved the statement. They waived $35.00 fee (their first attempt to rip me off was failed). For the next month, I set up a google calendar reminder to pay, which did not kicked in on time. I missed the payement by 2 days, and found I am already charged $25.00 late fee. The customer service provider told me he can only do 1-waiver in 12 months. and then forwarde me to the superviser. The superviser told me that as I already got one waiver, she can not waive again. The first waiver was their mistake, not mine, but she is not accepting that. She also said she can not grant excuse for the google calendar reminder failure, but suggested me to use Amazon online banking and then use the reminder of that online banking service. I asked, what if I do not want to use the Amazon online banking? There is no provision of setting up recurring payment and if you do not want to miss the deadline, you have to use Amazon online banking. Now, this is clear to me that there is a trap for customers here. As there is no monthly reminder email and recurring payment option provided to you, it is highly likely to miss the payments and they can continue charging you late fee. If you want to avoid late fee, you have to be checking back there online payment portal manually or subscribe to Amazon online banking. I did not like this type of fishy business model. As I said this to the supervisor, she got rude and told me "you have to pay if you miss, you have agreed on the terms and conditions", what a rude treatment. I am going to pay off the amount and say bye bye to amazon.com store card. I am glad they showed their true color to me at my expense of $25.00 fee only.

If you pay late, you get charged a fee and they may make a mark on your credit. That's the same with pretty much every card company. Set more reminders of bill due dates, if necessary, or pay the bill as soon as you receive it.

In November 2011 amazon changed their policies to accrue interest daily instead of monthly, as well as to accrue interest on *each purchase* from the date of purchase instead of entire balance. This is another example of credit card companies trying to change the terms to suck more money out of consumers. Shameful.
