No grace period means I pay interest on every purchase even if I pay in full each month.
And $59 annual fee. There are much better deals out there.

There is NO grace period for this card. It's NOT a good thing if you're new to credit (which is the point of the card - right?)

There are lots of credit cards designed to rebuild credit, examples:
First Premier, Orchard, Indigo, HSBC, Imagine all will give $300
starter credit, if you behave, they'll raise it all the way to $3000

First Premier!!!! Are you nuts. They are the most predatory bank in the US!! They have 3 fees upfront totlling well over half the $300 AND now have a 59.9% on all purchases. With the new law where you cannot charge more than 25% in fees of your deposit, you can see how they have reacted. They are always in articles as to being the poster child for how banks rip you off. You need to do aLOT more homework!!

there should be some way for people with low or no credit to get a card to build credit

Be sure to read the terms and conditions. They are not checking credit here but rather using collateral to determine credit approval and amount to be approved. In the terms, it states they are going to put equal the amt u r willing to put into a new savings acct with them. If you put $1000 in the acct as collateral, they will give you up to $2000. In my opinion, if you had it like that, you wouldnt need a credit card in the first place! Read the FINE print; it makes a difference in your decision to apply.

There needs to be a credit card that is a second chance card and will help you take the risk of offering at least a 300.00 dollar credit limit so we can rebuil credit without an annual fee and this fee and that fee. Everyone deserves a second chance to fix what they may have screwed up at young ages
