First Premier's bread and butter are their very high fee, very high interest credit cards with pitiful credit limits.    Remember, you lose FICO points when your utilization is over 10%.   So if you get a First Premier card, you can't show a balance more than $20 on a $200 CL on this card or your FICO score is going down.    Do you want a credit limit increase, then?   First Premier charges a fee for that, too.   If you are rebuilding, get a secured card with someone else!

How on  earth do you get a limit increase with these people???  I have had the card for 4 yrs, paid their ridiculous annual fees and monthly fees and made payments on time, and they refused me again.  What can you do with a $300 limit, when you want to keep the balance to a reasonable percentage?  Buy candy? Anyway, I am working to pay off this sucker.  Yeah, it's my oldest card, except that I have had the same bank accounts for 41 years at BofA.  Soon it will be closed.  And I will NOT miss it.  I have already cut up the card, anyway.

I had this credit card (it being my very first) for four years. There was at least twice that the annual fee did put me over my limit but as soon as I saw it, I paid it. Yes the start up fees are pricey but you have to start somewhere. I read the fine print after researching this card and agreed to everything BEFORE i ever signed up. My interest rate was locked in at 9.9% with only a $300 credit limit. I didn't expect much as this was my first card and I had no prior history. I paid on time, every time. Even had to call into the service center a few times to make a last minute payment. Never had a problem. During my research, I found out that the customer service reps will threaten, become hostile, even curse you out.. I never had that. I had nothing but nice reps the entire time. When I went to finally close my card last month, I got the whole "we do report to credit companies and closing your oldest card will hurt your credit score" talk that they give to keep me as a customer. I politely replied no and that was that. I got the card closed, and it actually helped my credit score! Not sure how but my score went up 12 points! I decided to close this card because it was the lowest credit limit of any of my cards. The monthly fees weren't enough to make me want to keep the card. I had no balance on there for about 3 months but I was still making $7 payments to pay the monthly fee. Overall, great card to have if you're starting new or even have a ding on your credit. You have to start somewhere and no one said it wouldn't come with a price..

The credit card is not too bad for someone with poor credit. I have never had a problem with them, nor have they ever reported me late. The annual fee is $75 but one must expect it with less than perfect credit. My only complaint was that if I paid large amounts on my card, they  would hold the money so i could not use it. However, after a phone call they would release the money immediately. have had this card for a year or so, no credit increases. But helps with credit rebuilding

My sentiments on this card would get removed if I dare said what I truly though, and believe me it wouldn't be nice. I hold two of these horrible cards and yes I said two becuase they sent me two, one with a credit limit of $500 and another with $400. I have never been late but yet they are the worst card for several reasons. They charge for making a payment over the phone ($11), they have terrible customer service, they charge enormous annual fees, they have the highest interest rate. I have contemplated closing these cards but again, closing credit cards is very bad unless I am able to get a credit card with a limit to replace them to ofset the hit. This is not possible at this time. I just regret getting them altogether, don't do it. Get a retail card first, build your credit a few months and then get a visa card though Barclaycard. Great company! If I could pick no star I would have.

Worse CC ever!   Paid in full($ 0 balance), next month showed a 30 days late..why?... fee of ~ $5.00, talked to them but..no you are doomed! You did not pay your fee on time, not only that, after talking to them IMMEDIATELY they report the late to ALL credit agencies.   By the way this late is 3 yrs. old and still hunting me, need to refinance my home.
