Wow! If that wasn't profiling, I personally take offense to that I am 24, own a home, hold down a well paying job, and will be paying off my car loan next yr, also I have never filed bankruptcy or anything of the sort. Do I have perfect credit ? no; but I have never filed bankruptcy (talk about expecting something for nothing) and I will remind you the majority of those people are in their 30's and 40's, never had a car repossessed, etc. So before you make such ignorant statements please put your self in others shoes for a second and lose the negative mindset towards YOUR future. When you are the one in the wheelchair, or with the walker, or in the convalescent home and in and out of the hospital because you are so old and ill, those 21-26 year olds will be the ones opening doors for you and wiping your ***.

The interest rate was too high. The customer service was very poor. I couldn't refinance my auto loan even though I was never delinquent and often paid more than the minimum.

This company has terrible customer service. Forget about getting information in a timly fashion, and a call back? That is a complete joke. I was approved on a loan, but the intrest rate listed in the ad is a lie. They are trying to charge me higher intrest than my current loan. This is funny considering that my credit has improved quit a bit since I got the original loan. Do yourself a favor, don't take the credit hit and waste of your time with this company!

i will give them credit for giving me a loan for a car at a time when my credit was abyssmal, but apart from that here we go. i spent 4 years diligently paying off the loan on time. i even called them twice for a deferral which they approved. when it came time for the last payment i had to call it in. now i SWEAR to you i distincly remember getting off the phone thinking " o.k i paid it off 2 weeks early." now 2 years later i check my credit report and find they have the last payment listed as 30 days late! every payment for 4 years on time then 1 payment according to them is late [ last payment was june 2010, they have july 2010 as 30 days late.] and now its on my report for another 6 years as a negative. i live my life basically debt free, so any small error credit wise is devastating to my credit score. this is completely unfair, no consideration for a flawless history? so, safe to say i will never use this company again.

DON'T DO IT! I was quoted 5.08% so I took the offer. I was then DENIED. My vantage score is 698, and my income is over $130k. Basically, I got a hit on my credit for NO REASON! They will come back with a high interest rate, or not approve at all. DON'T DO IT!

I tried to get a loan and I was denied. I don't understand that because I have a Cap One credit card that has been paid on time for the last 4 years.

Worst customer service I've ever had in my life! I was recently in an accident and found out my insurance was not going to cover the damages. I called Capital One to see if they could forward me my insurance information and explained what happened. Without any documentation, follow up calls or further questions they forwarded my account to their total loss department WITHOUT telling me! I only found out because I called back after we had repaired the car and gotten new insurance to make sure they had our new insurance information. When I got upset that they didn't inform us that it had been forwarded to that department they acted like it was my fault for telling them the car had been in an accident and that I should have been more diligent in following up with them. While I will make sure to follow up with companies with horrible customer service like this in the future, I do think it's a little absurd that they didn't take any responsibility for not contacting their customer before almost sending them to collections! I will never have another Capital One product in my lifetime!

I filed bankruptcy less than a year ago, and had a very high rate car loan (19.33%) due to getting a loan during my bankruptcy. So, refinanced with CapitalOne who easily accepted my loan at 12% (with a credit score of only 583)....still not the best APR, but much better than what I was getting, plus my payments are $30 less/month and I saved by not having to pay a car payment for the month of the switch!
