We found the lowest price on insurances (Home owners and Auto) in America through Liberty Mutual. We found out about Liberty Mutual when we were at a home owner's educational program  from Mutual Housing (Govt Agency). They got the best prices. We were using Progressive earlier  for our Auto Insurance. We contacted almost all popular Insurance companies here in Connecticut. Liberty Mutual was the only Insurance company who gave us the lowest rate with competitive package. This fact is again proved to us last month. We purchased a new car, and was looking for insurance, so just to verify, we called Geico, Progressive, All State, State Farm... I guess you are still seeing their advertisements on TVs saying that they beat others' prices. They are just lying, atleast they need to pay their advertisement fees. You won't believe the rates we got from them. absolutely ridiculous prices - state farm being the worse. Only Geico gave us a quote which is almost near to Liberty Mutual pricing. Still Liberty got the lowest with almost all coverages, including a gap insurance! I will recommed Liberty Mutual to everyone again and again, as per our experience for the last many years.   Note : Don't trust any insurance companies' Towing package. They are a joke. They covers only some miles and you will endup paying high dollars in this tough economy if you ever need a towing. (we don't know what will happen in the next hour ;) unexpected things can happen at any time, even with a brand new car). Go for AAA membership for that. They are the best in towing with lowest membership fees for services.

liberty mutal just stuck it to me. said the auto/lease they offer is GAP, it didnt cover anything left owing me $6000. getting ready to cancel all my insurances with them . dont trust them at this point. Nevada

 Bad Faith Claim Adjusting - their insured hit us and it took three weeks for them to start the process.  In addition, the adjustor acted surprised to learn there was a police report and a ticket was given to their insured.  Either the adjustor is acting in Bad Faith or does not know their job.  Liberty Mutual, where is your responsibility?

What a pathetic company, I had an accident on 10/25/2011 and my car has been to the repair shop 3 times to fix the same issue. Now on 03/20/2012 it is still not fixed right. When I called I was basically told it was fixed "good enough" and they were trying to wash their hands of the issue. Good luck getting a manger, supervisor, or anyone with any power on the phone. I have talked to countless people and nobody can provide a clear answer, the sheer amount of double talk and convoluted statements is amazing. I just want my car fixed right - in a timely manner (which is now past) or total out the car. 

 I was with Geico until I checked with Liberty, and they were great lowest premiums and 12 month policies. The local agent was superb, outstanding customer service. I didn't really notice thast i had homeowners with them and got multible discounts because of that. also they have a great website so you can manage all of your policies.

Liberty Mutual has been pretty good to me from an auto insurance perspective.  We have two cars on Liberty Mutual policies with stacks of discounts, and haven't seen much in the way of changes to rates.  They have been willing to renegotiate with us when we are in the market for new auto insurance and have always come in with the lowest price for comparable auto insurance. I did have an incident a few years ago in which I was rear ended, and Liberty Mutual was easy to work with to get my car fixed up.  The whole process was relatively hassle free.
