We have had GEICO car insurance since we were first married in 1965. Any time we have had to file a claim, they have been right there for us, no problems. A year ago, I was in an accident, another car made an illegal left turn and totalled my car. I was taken to the local Emergency Room, and was diagnosed with a concussion. GEICO was right there that night when my husband brought me home, we called at 11:30 that night to report the accident. They took all the information from me, and the next day we talked to them to leave a recorded report of the accident. The claims adjuster who worked with me on the claim was so helpful, she was always contacting people for me, advising me about my claims against the other insurer, and fighting my battles for me. All I needed to do when I had a question was call her or email her. It took a year for everything to be settled, but she was there with me through it all, and I couldn't have done it without her. Our rates never went up, and I wouldn't go to another company even if they had. Loyalty like they showed was heartwarming. I would recommend them to anyone.

Every thing is good except the premium increase every six month.Premiums keep going up even though you have clean driving records. When I switched to another company I saved $300 per year.

I have had two accidents I'm a young driver and Geico still works with me on trying to keep my coverage as well as no raised policy. I think Geico is probably the best out there for young adults especially college students

Great! When you take the online defensive driving class from geicoddc.com, they can even cut the deal further.

I've only had GEICO for a few months, but I work for a competitor and GEICO has the best rates around for young people. Even with my employee discount, my company charged about 3x higher. I am insured in CT. I can't speak to claim experience yet. Companies like Travelers and Liberty Mutual are better for older people and have more focus on good service experience. Those companies are priced attractively for older people with high credit scores (except in CA MA NJ and another state I can't remember where it is illegal to use credit score), they don't care for young/"high risk" business.Young people should look at GEICO and Progressive. USAA is a great choice if you qualify.

premiums keep going up even though I've never had an accident. Even after their discount for being a customer for the last 5 years It's still cheaper to go else where. Last year I wanted to add my homeowners insurance and they wanted 2x a year what everyone else was charging. What ever happened to being loyal to your good customers?

1/2 star. I had them for almost 3 years. I had an accisent and it wasn't my fault and I could not get the bluetooth on my phone to upload the pictures. The adjustor was in Tucson and didn't give a **** about helping me at all. I even told her I would send the cell phone to her. She could not be bothered. I am going to go and get a lawyer because Geico DOES NOT care not look out for its clients. You want to pour $ down the rain. Stay with them.
