I love them, I have been with them for 3 years now. My agent has worked with me to keep getting the lowest rates even after I had my accident. The claims were helpful and there when I had questions for them. They are very easy to get a hold of and respond immediately when I have questions or need something sent out. I also have renters insurance through them and I love it, It helped lower our auto policy because we have multiple policy's.

I have been with Allstate for 6 years and had two claims that were settled fast and fair. While their rates are not the lowest, they are fair and probably worth the difference. It cost them a star in my rating due to their terrible agent retention plan. I am on my third agent in six years. They do need to treat their own people better. 

 Triple the rates of Geico!!!

I actually feel they do not even earn a star! They are that bad! After 14 years being with them I put in a claim and make up excuses of why they don't want to pay out on my claim! It was road debri a collision claim and all I got from them was excuses! It has been months and they still will not fix my car! wITH allstate their are no guarentees! I notice they claim their is a gurantee in their commercial but never say what kind specifically what they do guarentee! Aparently they only guarentee them selves the money after you pay them and leave you with ZERO( Just a broken vehical)! I will NEVER REFFER THEM AGAIN! THIS IS A LOUSY COMPANY! I always wondered why they have Candyman from the horror movie as their spokes person and talk about mayhem, because they are a scarey company and that does not guarentee anything except, they did take my money! THEY ARE MAYHEM IN MY OPINON! I left this terrible company! You will be sorry, if you have this company as your auto insurance company! Just wait when you have a accident and they don't fix your car like they did me!

 I have had two very good, responsive agents.  Even when I decided to raise my deductible in order to get a cheaper rate, they did not try to hardsell me on more expensive policies.  Disclosure: I distrust and loathe insurance as legally sanctioned extortion.  I have never made a claim, but have no doubt they would take it out of my hide if I did.

I had been with State Farm for over 10 years. My agent last year really agravated me with my homeowners policy - the cost, the changes he initiated himself and the timing of the renewal policy to my bank. By the time I even got a copy of his proposed changes he had submitted it to the bank and they had already paid it out of escrow. Too much hasle and cost to worry about it  soooo.....   Couple months ago, had a freind that works at Allstate. Been trying to get me to change for awhile now.    They gave me and my 22 year old daughter some great auto rates and the homeowners policy was 30% lower than State Farm (all those years with them didn't much pay off for me). But seriously over all, 2 cars (1 new) and 2 drivers, (1 young) and my house for way way way less than my old guy - for better coverage.  They do, like all the rest of them, take your insurance credit score into account.     

Time gets you nothing in terms of price. we were with allstate for over 20 years. price went up every year. when we added our teenage driver the rates jumped like anyone else. when she turned 25 it still went up $30. 1160 per 6mths for 3 cars full coverage and 3 adult drivers. switched to liberty mutual for $1000 yr
